Do-It-Yourself Dole Whip

by KyAnn Lewis

This frozen tropical treat’s the best way to cool off at Disney parks. Now you can make it at home, too.

What do you do when you’re craving your favorite Disney treats, but you’re stuck at home? Hit the kitchen!

Disney recently shared a recipe for something called “Frozen Pineapple Treat.” It’s a variation of Dole Whip, served at the theme parks.

The Dole Whip served at the park is a pineapple soft-serve. It’s fat-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free. It’s kind of like a pineapple sorbet soft-serve. We like to get a Dole Whip, or a Dole Whip Float, from the Tiki Juice Bar in Disneyland’s Adventureland, and then cool off in Walt Disney’s Enchanted (and air conditioned) Tiki Room.

Disney’s DIY version of the tropical treat is a simple three ingredient recipe. Because this version includes ice cream, it’s not dairy free.

It’s so simple to make that 7-year-old Griffin made a batch by himself. (Although supervision is recommended when using the blender.) Griffin used the following recipe:
