Ready to Believe! What We’re Excited About on Disney’s New Ship

by KyAnn Lewis

We’re booked and ready to sail on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship. The Maiden Voyage of the Disney Believe sails on December 18, 2027. Now we just have to (im)patiently wait for the next 14 months.

While we’re waiting, we’re getting excited about all of the cool things the new ship has to offer. Here’s what we’re most excited about:

  • Moana in the Grand Hall: Each Grand Hall is unique, which is something we love about Disney Cruise Line. The Believe will be influenced by the world of Moana and the Pacific Islands. Of course, Pua and HeiHei will be featured, too! We’re told the Heart of Te Fiti will be hidden within the chandelier, so be sure to look up.
  • Disney Encanto on stage: The Broadway style production of Encanto with songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda will bring the audience into the colorful world of the Madrigal family.
  • Tangled The Musical: The hit show from the Disney Magic will be reimagined for the Believe.
  • Frozen Family Feast: The Wish class ships offer a unique dining experience, a dinner show at one of the signature restaurants. At Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, guests will dine in the forest in summer! Expect characters and songs reimagined from Frozen.
  • Two New Cafes: The new cafes will be Big Hero Sips and Cafe Kakamora and will serve coffee, tea and specialty drinks.
  • New Food at Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods: We love getting quick bites at the open-air food court on the upper deck. Pluto’s Pita Platters is exclusive to the Believe. It will serve a Mediterranean-inspired menu.
  • Ariel’s Piano Bar: At Sea Notes, Ariel gets her own piano lounge. The bar features the whimsy of The Little Mermaid and themed cocktails to match.
  • New Adult Spaces: Other adult spaces will include Wishing Well in the theme of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Skygazers is an observatory-themed pub with nods to Disney classics. Not to worry, the very popular Haunted Mansion Parlor will be make a return on the Believe.
  • AquaMouse: The 760-foot-long water ride, the AquaMouse will feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse on a wacky port adventure.
  • Tinker Bell on the Bow: Look for Tinker Bell on the bow and Buzz and Woody from Toy Story on the stern.
  • New theming in staterooms: Depending on your deck and room type, themes could include designed inspired by Moana, Zootopia, Coco, The Lion King and Inside Out.

All of this is in addition to what you’d already expect from a Disney sailing, like the amazing clubs for kids of all ages. Plus, entertainment like The Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party is back. It’s a fun deck party featuring Disney Cruise Line’s signature fireworks at sea. Basically, the Believe is all the good stuff from a Disney cruise and more!

The Disney Believe is the fourth of the Wish class ships. The Believe will sail out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on 4- and 5-night sailings to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Sailings will stop at Disney’s private islands at Castaway Cay and/or Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

We were on-board the Disney Destiny during its maiden voyage in November of 2025. While Disney Cruise Line makes every sailing magical, a maiden voyage is truly special. Each day we received a commemorative gift in our stateroom. Our sailing also included Broadway stars who performed a special show.

We book all of our Disney travel through the expert advisors at Magic Family Getaways. Our travel advisor was up early the day that bookings opened on the Believe. She spent hours working to secure us a cabin on the maiden voyage, all while we were sleeping. We woke up to a text that we were booked on the sold-out sailing. Magic Family Getaway’s services are complimentary, so take advantage of their expertise.
