Zootopia: Better Zoogether
An all-new 4D show Zootopia: Better Zoogether opened this week at the Tree of Life Theater. Zoogether Day is an on-screen celebration that includes Zootopia favorites like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, and new characters like Heidi Howler, the host of the festivities. In our opinion, Officer Benjamin Clawhauser steals the show. He appears as an audio-animatronics character, who breaks into song for a musical finale with Gazelle.
CarrotVision glasses are provided to enhance the viewing experience. There are interactive elements during Zootopia: Better Zoogether like vibrating seats, bubbles dropping from the ceiling, and a scene where the audience gets splashed with water.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether offers a standby and lightning lane. It’s included with a valid theme park ticket to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, the famous voices from the original film, also lend their voices to the characters in Zootopia: Better Zoogether.
New Character Meet-and-Greet
Not only will you see Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde at the show, you’ll also find them roaming the theme park. Their new meet-and-greet location is at Discovery Island near the Tree of Life.
Exclusive Zooptopia Merchandise
Zootopia 2 opens in theaters on November 26th. You can get your hands on some fun new Zootopia merchandise at Animal Kingdom before the movie hits theaters. Special pins, a t-shirt featuring Gazelle, and an adorable new popcorn bucket are just a sampling of the new merchandise rolling out with the new show.
Special Themed Snacks
You can find some Zootopia-themed snacks, too, available at the Isle of Java in Discovery Island. We sampled the Bunny Burrow Brew which was described as a Vietnamese-style coffee. It’s cold brew, with condensed milk and blueberry syrup, topped with whipped cream, a sugar carrot and tiny chocolate beads. There’s also Clawhauser’s Big Donut Macaron which was filled with chocolate ganache and strawberry jelly, and topped to look like a donut.

KidTripster attended a media preview of Zootopia: Better Zoogether before it opened to the public. Also at the event, actors Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Judy Hopps) and Nate Torrence (voice of Officer Benjamin Clawhauser). They greeted the audience inside the Tree of Life Theater and watched the show with us. Afterwards, we had a chance to attend a panel with the actors and creators.
“I still can’t believe I got the job to play Judy in the first movie”, says Ginnifer Goodwin. “I just wake up and pinch myself, I can’t believe this is real. I can’t wait to bring my kids down here.”
Priya Sampat, Creative Producer of the project, described the inspiration behind the show, “We wanted to show that all the different animals across Zootopia were coming together for this celebration called Zoogether Day in which they celebrate their interconnectedness with each other separately in their biomes, but eventually coming together for a fun song.” Sampat says her favorite part of the show is the original song and thinks families will love it, too.
Actor Nate Torrence flew his whole family out to see Zootopia: Better Zoogether. He says it’s a fun show and a great escape from the Florida sun. “As a parent who’s been in the parks with children, you always seek out the attractions to space out your rides. I love that our attraction hangs with the rides. You’re gonna like it, you’re gonna get a little wet and cool off that way, too,” says Torrence.
