Our first impressions of Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point? It sure is pretty. Soft, pink sand beaches and turquoise waters, nestled into the beautiful landscape of Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. Disney has a section of the island, dedicated for the exclusive use of Disney Cruise Line guests.
This was our first visit to the island. We were curious as to how Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point would differ from Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. You can expect some similarities such as: a BBQ meal for lunch, characters in island specific attire, specialty merchandise, cabanas for rent, a splash pad, water and land activities like snorkeling and cycling, an extensive beach with enough chairs for everyone, and an adult-exclusive area.
Some differences: the pinkish sand beach with a rock outcropping, cultural excursions and experiences, a Junkanoo celebration, a nature trail, a historic lighthouse and a very long pier (approximately 1/2 mile from ship to sand). Guests have the option of booking cultural excursions on the island.
Lookout Cay opened in June of 2024. Not all of Disney’s Caribbean sailings stop at Lookout Cay. It depends on the itinerary.
