From our first visit to LEGOLAND Florida in 2012, I was impressed with the variety, taste, and fresh options available at both the theme park and the hotels. As someone who eats mostly plant-based, it’s refreshing to have choices.
During our most recent visit, we dined at the new LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel for breakfast and dinner. We also enjoyed several snacks at the park. (You can read more about our Pirate Island stay in my previous review of the hotel.)
The resort attracts LEGO lovers of all ages and LEGOLAND does a great job of making sure they are creating meals, beverages, snacks, and desserts that appeal to a variety of taste buds. They’re also adept at meeting dietary needs and restrictions.
Here are some of our favorite things to eat and drink while visiting LEGOLAND Florida.
Granny Smith Apple Fries
Let’s start with a LEGOLAND original … the Granny Smith Apple Fries! We’ve developed a hankering for these tasty treats. They might sound strange, but trust us, they’re delicious. How could anyone resist warm Granny Smith apples, dusted with cinnamon and sugar? It’s served with a sweet whipped cream dipping sauce. The location is hard to miss as it’s on the natural path into the park. Or stop here before heading out the park.
Taco Everyday
We love tacos and we love the LEGO MOVIE. Taco Everyday is located in LEGO MOVIE WORLD and has delicious California street tacos! There are a variety of options to choose and fun movie references. Tacos aren’t just for Tuesdays, why not eat them every day?!
Adult Beverages
If you are looking for adult beverages in the park, you can find craft beers and wine at Dragon’s Den in LEGO Kingdoms area of the park. At this time that’s the only spot to grab and adult beverage in the park so get your drink as you pass through.
Check out all of the food options in the park before you go so you can plan your day. There’s something for everyone from sweet treats to burgers and fries to plant-based and vegan delights!
Themed Dining
Back at the hotel, the dinner service at the Shipwreck Restaurant LEGOLAND Pirate Hotel is family style. It’s 3-courses, and themed for pirate fun. The courses include salad, your choice of three skillets with one being a plant based option. Dessert is a warm chocolate chip cookie skillet topped with vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and Heath pieces. Or, you can opt for the vegan dessert which is a chocolate fondue. Dinner costs $28 for adults and $13 for kids. It’s a great value!
Smugglers bar has an awesome themed beverage menu for both adults and kids. I enjoyed a Rum Runnarghh while the kids sipped on a Pirates Gold and a Sea Shanty. The bar is located next to where all the nightly kids pirate activities take place – like Ar Ye Smarter Than A Pirate? trivia and Bucaneer Bingo. That allows parents to enjoy a beverage while the kids have the time of their lives.

Free Breakfast
Breakfast is included with your stay at any of the LEGOLAND hotels. That’s always a perk because breakfast can get expensive! However, you’ll still need to make a dining reservation. Everything, like dinner, is served in skillets with choices to add additional skillets and fresh fruit. Just like at dinner, you can opt for a plant-based skillet. We were full until dinner after this breakfast. There are so many delicious choices you won’t want to stop.
KidTripster Tip: Reservations book up quickly for breakfast and dinner so make sure you secure a spot at least a week in advance of your trip.
Clearly, LEGOLAND is for LEGO lovers and foodies alike. I’ve never been disappointed in our meals in the park or at the hotels.
