Would you dare to walk in the jungle after dark?

It gets dark around 6pm in Costa Rica year-round. Due to its proximity to the equator, there’s just about 12 hours of daylight.

There’s a lot of activity after dark, though. Especially in the rainforest. We found out for ourselves on a Jungle Night Walk with Callidryas Tours, their most popular tour.

We headed out in the midst of a serious downpour. We thought the tour might be canceled, but we were assured that the rain is the best time to see wildlife. Armed with flashlights and umbrellas, we followed our guide into the night.
